THE
APARTMENT - sleeps 5
Amidst farmland
and surrounded by some of the most breathtaking scenery in the Spey Valley, Aldon Lodge is an ideal place to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday
life and enjoy nature. There's abundant
wildlife right on the doorstep and the magnificent Cairngorm Mountains
dominate the landscape.
Aldon Lodge was built in 1989 on the site of a derelict croft house which burnt
down in 1954 - some remains of the old steading and outbuildings are still visible. Mairi and James
Gordon bought the land and knew it was an ideal location
for their family home. James, a joiner by trade, built the Lodge himself and later in
1997, it was extended to incorporate a luxury two bedroomed
first floor apartment with its own private entrance
and patio.
A stairway
leads into a comfortably
furnished open plan lounge/kitchen with dining area. The well equipped kitchen includes a washing machine,
tumble dryer, electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and coffee
maker plus in the lounge there is a digital TV, video and CD/tape musicplayer. |
